London Zoo is marking the 200th anniversary of the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) - the conservation charity that owns and operates the zoo - with plans for a new state-of-the-art wildlife health centre, funded by a £20m bequest from a mystery donor. The facility would allow visitors to observe animal medical procedures up close, including post-mortems.
